Nick and I have noticed something.

It’s something that is screwing up A LOT of copywriters.

It’s something that influences how much money you get paid, the type of work you get hired to do, and how you feel about your self-worth.

Yet most people are missing the mullet when it comes to getting this right.

(Yes—I have just invented the phrase “missing the mullet.” I don’t know what it means, but it sounds right.)

The problem is personal branding.

People are getting it way wrong—and we think it’s time to correct the situation.

It’s an issue that is bigger than one episode, but we need to start somewhere, so we’re starting here.

Indeed, you might think some of what we discuss here isn’t really to do with personal branding. Or perhaps you’ll have never thought about this stuff before…

But hopefully, you’ll see that this is how you go about setting your stall out as a copywriter if you want to get paid well, work with good clients, and feel good about what you do.
