The Fix #76: Applying the 4-U Formula to the British Airways ads and other examples of working copy

We’re bound to upset some folks here.

It’s not our intention. We’re all adults. But still, people do seem to get upset when you offer gentle suggestions about how copy can be stronger.

That said, we do like to push things and don’t mind too much about annoying people.

So, in the spirit of creating a world of stronger copy, in this latest episode of The Fix Podcast, we apply the 4-U Formula to two pieces of copy out there in the world.

First, we look at a direct response sales later running in the US, and then we look at an outdoor billboard advert running in the UK.

We hope you find our thoughts insightful and useful and can see how the 4-U Formula we talk about can be applied to all manner of copy.

Indeed, if you’re not a member of The Fix Accelerator and you’d like to get access to our masterclass series on the subject, here’s the link you’ll need:

Otherwise, we hope you enjoy the episode.

Best,
Glenn
